How you can Achieve Anything

Do you ever feel that you have a goal, start out with the best intentions, only to find that down the road you have a hard time following through with what you want to accomplish? In order for you to succeed in your goals, it is best to focus first on creating a vision of what you want to achieve. This is followed by setting goals, making a commitment to your goal, and then taking persistent action.

Create the vision of what you want to achieve. In order to begin building your vision, click on the vision link for this page. You will want to go to this page because you will find an exercise on how to create a thorough picture of your vision.

The second step is taking your vision and breaking it down into goals. The key to this is thinking big. Make the goals a stretch for you to achieve. I know this sounds counter intuitive, but psychologically, creating small goals do not excite people enough for them to actually stretch themselves out enough to reach the goal. The bigger the goal, the bigger you will grow to reach out and attain it.

The next step is to make a commitment. The reason why most people fail in getting what they want is that they do not make a strong commitment. You can understand this by considering the popular New Year’s Resolution. How many times have you or someone you know made a resolution only to find that a month later they haven’t followed through with it. Instead, of saying to yourself that you are committed, write down why you are committed. Write down how you will feel when you achieve your goal. Look at this often. Remind yourself of your commitment.achieveanything.personmountain

The last step in the process is the most challenging part, but also the most rewarding. Persistence! You have to take regular consistent action if you want to get what you want. As they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Neither will your Rome, your biggest goals, be accomplished in a day. So don’t feel dismayed if you feel things aren’t getting done or you encounter setbacks. This is natural so just persist. The most powerful goals take months to years to accomplish. Sure you can lose 50 pounds in a matter of months, but to become financially free could take years to achieve, or to have that house on the hill with a view could take years to afford. This is why it is so important to take action on your goals, and then stay consistent by holding yourself accountable until your vision, whatever it may be, goes from out of your head and into your physical reality.

Create a vision, make big goals, and know why you’re committed. Most of all persist through the small and big challenges!
