Developing and Encouraging your Passions

Feeling satisfied with your life depends a lot on incorporating your passions into your life whether it is through your career or outside of work. However, understanding what a passion is, discovering it within yourself, and finding time for it is a challenge for many and unfortunately prevents people from finding this wonderful aspect in themselves. Take the following key points in mind to uncover this gem within you.

A passion does not need to be (though it can) something you’re absolutely crazy about. A passion can be something that motivates you, sparks your enthusiasm, makes you want to share it with others, something that lifts your spirit or simply leaves a smile on your face. A passion can be anything! The sky’s the limit. You can have one passion. You can have many.

No matter how old you are, you can discover those passions within yourself. This starts with self-reflection. Write a list of anything that you’ve ever enjoyed. Even if you only experienced it once! Reflect on your childhood experiences. Whatever you were excited about as a child can be indicators of your passions that became buried with the responsibilities of adulthood. Reflect on these lists.

Do your passion! This is probably where a lot of people have trouble in. But where there is a will there is way. Find time, even if it is only a couple hours a month. Write out the steps you need to take in order to incorporate your passions into your life. This might be from cutting down some T.V. hours to searching the internet for opportunities in your city or community. passion.girlguitar

Incorporating passions into your life allows for enriching life experiences. Not only do you feel happy about it, but you’re bound to meet others with similar interests, and look forward to activities that are outside your daily routine. And kudos to you if you have the will and determination to blend your passions into your career! Overall, when you feel passionate about what you are doing, you radiate energy, confidence and enthusiasm. All of the good things in life come more readily to the passionate people who actively attract their good life and their good fortune.
